Mechanical Advantage

Manufacturing and design advantages that provide superior performance and fewer mechanical failures on the road than other A/C systems. 

- Manufacturer not a Re-Packager – Vintage Air Inc. is the only performance air conditioning manufacturer with full Research and Development facilities; with all tooling, custom aluminum tube forming, plastic vacuum molding, and spin casting machinery in-house. 
- Engineered System Design Features
  * Rubber mounted motor mounts provide longer blower assembly life, less vibration, and less noise 
  * Using screened integral heating/ cooling coil with the highest capacity available, allows our evaporators to reach duct temperatures as low as 36 degrees. Definitely insures year-round comfort. 
  * Molded Hose Adapters -Vintage Air's molded hose adapters are made as an integral part of the evaporator case providing a smooth transition that significantly increases flow by providing smooth turbulence free airflow out of
the unit.. Tests show as much as 25% more airflow than competitors individually molded glue on hose adapters.

- Vintage Air Superflow condensers are the only streetrod and performance condensers that offer the capacity to provide maximum “ Vintage Air ” cooling performance.
- Built-in safety features to eliminate the likelihood of electrical failure 
  * Circuit Breaker In Power Lead - Vintage Air's exclusive circuit breaker protection on the primary
power lead means if a short occurs in the air conditioning system, the circuit breaker will automatically
reset after the problem is fixed. This feature insures continued cooling even in remote areas. All other
companies use fuses because they cost less.
  * 12 Gauge Power Lead- Undersized 14 gauge power and high blower wiring harnesses found on many
non-Vintage Air systems can overheat and cause excessive current load that will blow a fuse and cause
on the road failure of switches and the wiring harness. All Vintage Air systems have 12 Gauge wire throughout 
the primary power lead and the high blower circuit to prevent wiring harness failures.
  * Two power relays protect the high blower circuit and main power circuit. Vintage Air
systems are protected from high current loads that will overheat the blower switch and cause switch
failures.

Gen II Technology

  * Fully electronic servo operation provides increased butterfly door travel and more positive sealing, delivering dramatic gains in airflow and system flexibility.
  * Gen II design provides superior defrost performance and control True Bi-Level operation in both heat and A/C modes
